Dr. Sanya Arora - Mastering Anterior Composites Workshop
This course is designed to help dental students excel in aesthetic anterior composite restorations. Participants will learn step-by-step techniques for achieving natural-looking results using dental materials that are already found in every dental practice - no fancy materials needed.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the basic dental instruments and composite materials needed for aesthetic cases
Learn shade matching and contouring to mimic natural dentition
Gain strategies to address common challenges, including managing difficult cases, achieving strong adhesion, and preventing postoperative sensitivity.
Patient Communication: how to manage patient expectations for aesthetic cases
Dr. Gary Glassman - Advanced Endodontic Solutions: Strategies for Performing Endodontic Treatment Predictably, Profitably, and Painlessly
This course addresses breakthrough concepts and details the skills necessary for acquiring the expertise and confidence to perform the highest quality endodontics. As a participant in our program, you will become familiar with the use of the “apex last” approach to canal shaping with nickel-titanium instrumentation using the Wave One Gold Reciprocation NiTi System, resulting in increased resistance to cyclic fatigue and enhanced confidence in your skills. During this exciting presentation the attendee will receive hands-on experience in a workshop environment.
Join us and learn how to:
Understand endodontic breakthroughs and concepts: Enjoy successful endodontic treatment for a lifetime.
Assess the criteria for a successful endodontic procedure
Perform a systematic diagnostic protocol and treatment plan
Provide emergency endodontic care
Find the MB2 canal: Tips and tricks
Accurately identify the apical constriction: Learn troubleshooting tips for challenging cases
Shape the root canal space: Use NiTi technology safely and efficiently
Materials provided: 3-D printed teeth and all other necessary supplies will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring loupes and headlamps for optimal visualization.
Dr. Sam Malkinson - Extraction Essentials: Suturing, Surgery & Ridge Preservation
Ridge preservation after tooth extraction is crucial for maintaining bone structure and laying the groundwork for future restorative work. This procedure involves filling the socket left by the extracted tooth with bone graft material to encourage bone growth.
Participants will begin with a brief lecture covering the rationale behind ridge preservation, followed by case presentations showcasing real-world results. The course will feature a hands-on component where participants will perform two ridge preservation procedures on provided models—first representing a simple clinical situation, and then progressing to a more complex scenario. This will facilitate the application of knowledge and skills using current materials and techniques.
Course Learning Objectives:
Explain changes in the alveolar ridge: Understand the physiological changes that occur following dental extractions.
Recognize common materials and techniques: Familiarize yourself with the materials and techniques used to preserve the alveolar ridge.
Formulate expectations for outcomes: Learn how procedure results impact subsequent implant placement.
Apply theoretical knowledge practically: Execute ridge preservation procedures on models to reinforce your theoretical understanding.
Materials provided: All necessary supplies and models will be provided for hands-on practice.
